Hi, I’m Jane

Campaign Researcher

Jane has lived in the village since 1978, when she married Chris, the local farmer’s son. To Jane, Shipton Bellinger is a safe, friendly, and beautiful village, nestled on the edge of Salisbury Plain. Having lived in the area all her life, Jane brings a wealth of local life experience and extensive knowledge of the village’s history—there are very few people in the village that Jane doesn’t know!

With her ability to communicate, research, and investigate, Jane is a vital part of the SNAP campaign, providing essential insights and information to help the project succeed. She is excited to be part of this major effort to preserve the village’s heritage and restore The Boot as a central hub and meeting point for the entire community.

Jane strongly believes that Shipton Bellinger needs The Boot, with many fond memories of the pub over the past 50 years. For her, The Boot has always been part of the village’s fabric and should be preserved for future generations as a place for social interaction, wellbeing, and community cohesion.

Jane says, "The Boot Inn is part of who we are as a village. It’s not just a pub—it’s where friendships are made and our community comes together. I’m truly looking forward to what we can achieve for the future."
