Robert Young
Grants Coordinator
Robert has been a resident of Shipton Bellinger for just over 18 months and has quickly become an active member of the community. With a background as a trustee for a mental health charity, Robert has experience in securing grants and ensuring strong governance, skills that are invaluable to the SNAP campaign. His work in the charity sector has taught him the importance of creating spaces that support and unite communities, which aligns perfectly with the mission to bring The Boot Inn back to life.
Robert has truly enjoyed getting to know his fellow villagers and learning about Shipton’s rich heritage. He believes that restoring The Boot Inn will not only revive an important piece of the village’s history but also create a vibrant communal hub that will benefit everyone.
Excited to be part of this meaningful project, Robert says, “Restoring The Boot Inn isn’t just about reopening a pub; it’s about bringing the heart of our village back to life. I’m thrilled to be part of something that will benefit everyone in Shipton Bellinger.”
