Over 80 Villagers Unite for the Future of The Boot Inn
On 11th September 2024, the second SNAP village meeting brought together more than 80 passionate villagers, all eager to take the next steps in bringing The Boot Inn back to life. Held at the Shipton Bellinger Sports & Social Club, the meeting was a vibrant celebration of community spirit, introducing the newly formed Shipton Community Pub Limited—a Community Benefit Society set to make the dream of a revitalised village pub a reality.
The highlight of the evening was a short film that showcased the vision for The Boot Inn and introduced the village’s management committee, a team made up entirely of local residents. Each committee member is not only committed to this project but deeply invested in making sure that The Boot reflects the heart and soul of Shipton Bellinger.
There was a palpable energy in the room, with neighbours excited to work together on this shared mission. This wasn’t just a meeting—it was a reminder that The Boot Inn is more than a pub. It’s a symbol of togetherness, a place where friendships are made, stories are shared, and the fabric of our community grows stronger.
The overwhelming support from those in attendance showed that this is our project, our pub, and together, we will make this vision come to life for generations to come.
Now is the time to get involved and play your part in this exciting journey! With the community behind it, the future of The Boot Inn is bright and full of promise.
Stay tuned for updates and opportunities to be part of this incredible project!
